Terms of Service

Sporttics is a marketplace for endurance sports race entries in Switzerland. Sellers list entries, buyers pay through Sporttics, and we hold the payment until the transfer is confirmed. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe.

Sporttics does not:

• Organise, host or manage any sports events
• Own or sell the entries listed — each is sold by its seller
• Guarantee the accuracy of listings, beyond what a listing’s verification label states
• Carry out the name change itself — the seller does that through the organiser
• Set or collect organisers’ transfer fees

Buyers pay through Sporttics checkout, in Swiss francs, by card or TWINT. The payment is held and paid out to the seller only once the transfer is confirmed.

A buyer pays:

• The seller’s asking price, which the seller receives in full
• The Sporttics fee of CHF 6.00 per entry, shown on the listing and at checkout
• Nothing else to Sporttics. An organiser’s transfer fee, if any, is paid to the organiser in their own process: by the seller, who makes the change, unless the organiser charges the new runner. Who pays is shown on each race and listing

The seller is paid when the organiser or the buyer confirms the transfer, or, if the seller recorded a registration platform reference, after an objection window of up to 48 hours in which the buyer did not report a problem. If the entry is not transferred by the race’s transfer deadline, the buyer is refunded in full, including the Sporttics fee. A checkout that is not completed is cancelled and nothing is charged.

Sellers must:

• Only list entries they legitimately own and have the right to sell
• Provide accurate event and transfer details
• Not exceed the face value of the entry (the price the organiser charged)
• Set up payouts with Stripe, and complete the official transfer with the organiser once the entry is paid for
• Record the transfer in Sporttics truthfully, with the registration platform’s reference where one exists

Buyers must:

• Verify the event's transfer policy before committing to purchase
• Check the Sporttics fee, the total and any organiser transfer fee shown on the listing
• Pay only through Sporttics checkout, never directly to a seller
• Communicate respectfully through the platform
• Confirm the transfer, or report a problem, promptly once the seller says it is done

Asking prices may not exceed the face value of the entry, meaning the price the organiser charged for it. This prevents scalping and keeps organisers willing to allow transfers. Listings above face value are refused when created or edited and cannot be bought.

Sporttics runs the marketplace and holds payments as described in section 2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• The accuracy, legality or validity of listings, which are made by sellers
• Organisers’ decisions, including refusing a transfer, their fees and their rules
• Event cancellations, date changes or other changes by organisers after a transfer is confirmed
• Payments made outside Sporttics checkout
• Losses beyond the amount paid through Sporttics, such as travel or accommodation
• Any indirect, incidental or consequential damages

By using Sporttics, you acknowledge that:

• Listings are made by sellers, not by Sporttics
• You are responsible for checking listing details and the race’s transfer rules before buying
• Once a transfer is confirmed and the seller is paid, the purchase cannot be refunded through Sporttics
• Whether a transfer is possible is decided by the organiser

If a purchase goes wrong:

• The buyer can use “Report a problem” in their purchases before the payment is released. This stops any automatic payout and a person reviews the purchase
• We decide a held payment on the evidence from the organiser, the buyer and the seller, and either pay the seller or refund the buyer
• Report fraudulent listings to us at [email protected]
• For legal matters, Swiss law applies and courts in Switzerland have jurisdiction

We may remove listings or suspend accounts that receive complaints. Once a payment has been paid out to a seller, we cannot recover it.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, create fraudulent listings, or engage in abusive behavior toward other users.

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.
